Accountant & Auditor position – 1

Silicon Valley Peripherals (SVP) is currently hiring an accountant within our fast growing headquarter in Fremont, California. We offer competitive pay in a friendly, but fast paced team environment. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Generate and distribute invoices to clients based on contractual agreements (ex: tiered and flat rate)
  • Analyze opportunities for streamlining AR/AP processes to ensure deadlines are met
  • End of month reconciliation reports required for billing.
  • Credit Card and Bank Reconciliations
  • Prepare and distribute monthly utilization reports based on time postings.
  • Extensive use of MS Excel to create reports. Work in AP process to ensure invoice payments are made within terms and reconcile vendor balance to statement for accuracy
  • Conducts analysis and preparation of journal entries to accrue for outstanding invoices
  • Analyzes and reconciles balance sheet and P & L (profit and loss) accounts, including G & A (general and administrative) expense
  • Records G & A costs to the proper accounts
  • Allocates prepaid expenses to the proper period, assigns G & A expense to proper business unit and department
  • Performs management reporting, analysis of balance sheet and/or profit & loss statements per management request
  • Special projects on request and/or as needed including other internal and external reporting, audit requests, etc
  • Experienced in inventory control
  • Coordinate with product procurement and product development teams in China and Taiwan
A successful candidate will possess the following attributes:
  • Possess bi-lingual abilities with spoken and written skills in English and Chinese (mandarin) preferred.
  • Prior experience in accounting is a must.
  • Must have advanced level of Excel
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting; MBA or Masters in accounting is a plus.
  • Must be proficient with MS Windows, MS Office, and Quick Books
Compensation
  • Full time or part time position.
  • Compensation is a combination of base salary and/or commissions.
  • Health insurance, dental plans, holiday, and vacation time provided after 3-month probationary period.

Customer Service Representative – 2

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Be the forward facing contact person for all customer related issues including frontline technical support and customer assistance with SVP’s entire range of products.
  • Provide primary support over phone directly to end users.
  • Provide pre-sales support for customers over e-mail
  • Assist in global operations by handling calls from other SVP-CSR associates from China and Taiwan.
  • A successful candidate will possess the following attributes:

  • Prior experience working in technical support or other forward facing customer service related area
  • Must be well organized and able to multi-task while on the phone.

This is a high transaction position that requires quick analysis and fast data entry. Each order that is not entered or entered incorrectly costs the company revenue.

  • Process all incoming orders through our own on-line O.P.S. system
  • Manage and provide tracking numbers to high volume of orders on a daily basis
  • Manage and track all inventory and report on backorder and inventory status on daily basis.
  • Manage and track all incoming new inventory and coordinate ordering and managing new inventory orders.
  • Work with sales on a daily basis to determine and verify monthly and quarterly forecasts
  • Generate detailed reports on monthly revenue streams.
  • Coordinate with product procurement and product development teams in China and Taiwan

A successful candidate will possess the following attributes:

  • Possess bi-lingual abilities with spoken and written skills in English and Chinese (mandarin) is required to interface with our suppliers and procurement teams abroad.
  • Prior data entry experience is a must.
  • A successful candidate will be asked to manage and own a set of daily and weekly reports published throughout the entire company.
  • Must be well organized and able to multi-task in highly dynamic environment.
  • Must coordinate incoming (new inventory) with product procurement teams in China and Taiwan.
  • Must coordinate all outgoing orders through data entry and manage backorders.
